The Fernandina Beach Songwriters Festival was conceived and brought to life by three friends –  Tammy Rogers King, Sean McCarthy, and Alexandra Maddox. United by their involvement in the music industry yet each contributing a unique viewpoint, this trio has curated an experience that showcases some of the industry’s most acclaimed songwriters. Now an annual event that celebrates the art of songwriting, the Fernandina Beach Songwriters Festival brings these distinguished artists together from all over the country not only to perform their chart-topping hits, but also share the rich narratives and inspirations behind their creations.

Entering our second year as a nonprofit, the Fernandina Songwriters Foundation is continuing the tradition of giving back to our local community by enriching the cultural heritage and local artist scene by hosting this annual Songwriters Festival, attracting master songwriters from all walks of life and bringing them to our stages.

Scheduled to unfold in the historic setting of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida, the Fernandina Beach Songwriters Festival has grown into a bustling 3-day event running from April 10th through April 12th, 2025. This year’s festival promises an array of performances that blend storytelling with melody. On Thursday, April 10th, a special artist meet and greet with the festival performers will be held for our VIP ticket holders and sponsors. 

Then, songwriter rounds commence on Friday, April 11th, with each featured artist delivering TWO mesmerizing sets. In between these headline acts, local musicians will take the stage at various venu-s, ensuring the musical spirit resonates throughout the weekend. 

VIP pass holders and Friday attendees will also have the exclusive opportunity to engage with the songwriters through two separate evening events. These intimate gatherings offer a glimpse into the lives of the artists, featuring:

• Autograph sessions
• Photo ops
• Firsthand accounts of their musical journeys. 

Friday’s highlight includes a special performance by Troubadour Blue, setting the tone for a memorable weekend.

The festival concludes on Saturday, April 12th, with 3-hour performances by featured artists and culminating in the evening with two more special events, including the “Grand Ole Opry Showcase.” promising an unforgettable night of music.
